Hello! I am Collette Mitchell, owner and teacher at Magic of Learning.
Why I teach: I love children. I'm inspired by their joy and wonderment. I enjoy helping them connect with and learn about the world around them. I want to help them to see that they are strong, smart, capable human beings. Also, kids are hilarious, that always helps. :)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah in Human Development and Family Studies.
- 8+ years volunteering at the elementary school with reading groups and centers.
- Preschool teacher 3/4/5 year old class at Guided Exploration for 5 years.
- Opened Magic of Learning in 2018 and have been teaching and nurturing learning there ever since!
- I also have 4 kids that I love dearly and they are not so little anymore (two of who are adults now).
About me: First and foremost, I'm proud to be a mom and wife. I love spending time with my family. We go on adventures and hike and have movie nights together. One of my very favorite things is reading and I want to pass this love along to the future generations. I love Diet Mt. Dew and pizza way more than I should. I'm also overly attached to my Midwestern roots. Oh, and music, I love music and movies.
